The Origins

Here in the West, Yoga is thought to be a physical practice for cultivating bodily stamina and endurance;

while Meditation is held as a mental practice for achieving higher states of mind. 

In truth, Meditation is an integral and essential part of Yoga practice. 

They are not separate entities; both Yoga and Meditation belong to the same holistic system. 

Traditional Yoga teachings will inevitably include Meditation as part of one’s Spiritual practice.
